The Inn is a true New England retreat, showcasing both the rustic charm of a Vermont farmhouse and the elegant luxury of a 21st century hotel. This combination clearly drew the appreciation of inn guests and Condé Nast readers.
“The Hermitage Inn was not only the launching point of the Hermitage Club, it remains a center of family activities throughout the ski season and remains one of our most desired wedding sites,” said Mike Quin, Vice President and General Manager for the Hermitage Club Resort. “Our members and guests alike enjoy the amazing food in the upscale restaurant, the energy in tavern and the charm and elegance of the rooms in such a quintessential Vermont setting. Just a few of the many reasons why so many people return to stay with us at the Inn year after year.”
More than 300,000 travelers took part in the 29th annual Readers’ Choice Awards survey — a record according to Condé Nast — submitting millions of ratings to help the magazine create a list of favorites around the world.
“The breadth of their top-rated experiences was impressive, from elegant castles in the Irish countryside to tented safari camps trailing the Great Migration across the Serengeti,” Condé Nast Traveler said of its readers. “They chose tiny private islands in the tropics, small culture rich cities in Europe, and intimate river cruises. Most notably, they declared a passion for the authentic, the personalized, the unexpected—finding all three in both newcomers and stalwarts around the world.”
