Housing of fire truck to be provided at The Hermitage
Deerfield Valley, VT., December 10, 2015 – The Hermitage Club at Haystack Mountain filed a stipulation and settlement with the Superior Court Environmental Division December 7, which specifies that the housing of the new ladder truck will be at The Hermitage Club’s new maintenance facility. On December 9, the Court issued an order resolving the issue and the zoning permit for the hotel can now be issued.
The new truck, of which The Hermitage will contribute approximately $300,000 to purchase, is part of an overall agreement with the Town of Wilmington to ensure fire safety at The Hermitage Club. The new fire truck will help provide fire coverage for The Hermitage’s new Hotel Hermitage, due to be constructed in 2016-17.
“We are gratified that this issue is coming to a logical conclusion and workable compromise,” said Hermitage Club Founder and President Jim Barnes. “We are glad to be able to help provide housing for the ladder truck, and believe that this is the best solution.”
