The Hermitage Club Fitness Center has been developed to provide options for all levels of fitness. Members and their guests can enjoy weight training with our equipment or free weights, cardio on the stationary bikes, or endurance in the lap pool. Fitness classes are offered regularly with special attention to individual health and wellness.

Kick some Vermont mountain booty with a half-hour of high intensity strategic total-body training. This circuit-style format includes working repetition at alternating stations on minute intervals. Bring your sneakers, energy and lots of water. We will cool down on the Keiser bikes with a 15 min. indoor cycle through the rolling hills of Vermont.
Indoor cycling to fast paced music working both endurance and strength through a series of interval sequences led by a certified instructor. Cycling is great for motivating your aerobic workout that only you can control through pace & resistance. Even if you’re not into choreography-based fitness classes, you can still enjoy this class because it involves neither rhythm nor complex moves. Cycling is low-impact, cardio based and a great way to start your day by sweating out environmental toxins. After our indoor Vermont ride we cool down with a sequence of sculpting & toning our upper bodies through repetitions using 3-10 lb. weights. Don’t forget your water bottle & electrolytes!
This class is about slowing down and opening the body through passive stretching. This class is great for unwinding after a weekend playing outdoors. This is a perfect class for all levels.
An invigorating and ever-evolving class that will expand your knowledge of yoga postures and how your body moves. This all-levels class has inventive and thoughtful sequences of sun salutations, standing and seated postures, back bending, and inversions guided by a steady breath to tone and calm the mind.
This class will focus on form and precision through small range of motion movements with high repetition. Emphasis will be placed on alignment, balance, and specific muscle activation. Class includes several highly effective sequences of resistance designed to encourage awareness and shaping of the entire body.
Apres ski, join us for a restorative yoga class that helps soften and stretch the core muscles used on the mountain. Designed to release tension and improve spinal mobility. All levels welcome.
Boot camp is an intensive fitness fusion designed to shape and strengthen your entire body. We take the best of everything the Hermitage has to offer (spin, yoga, barre, and pilates) and weave them together into an exciting 50-minute workout. This series will elevate your heart rate, burn fat, and build muscle safely and effectively.
Reformer classes are separated by level in order to accommodate all clients – we offer beginner, intermediate, advanced, classes. The reformer is a pilates apparatus designed to add resistance and support to a classical pilates workout. Each exercise emphasizes breath, core conditioning, and body awareness this full-body workout will strengthen your deepest abdominal muscles while sculpting your legs, arms, and back. As the class level gets harder, the pace will get faster and more challenging moves will be introduced. Beginner classes are fundamental for people new to pilates because they explain the basics of the exercises and machines. You must be cleared by an instructor to move past the beginner level. All intermediate, advanced, classes require approval before signing up! This 50-minute class involves a series of classical pilates exercises performed on a mat without equipment. Each exercise emphasizes breath, core conditioning, and body awareness. Instructors will pay special attention to alignment and form. Props – including foam rollers, therabands, weighted balls, the pilates ring, and more – may be used to add challenge or assistance throughout the class. whether you’re a beginner or expert practitioner, this mat workout will strengthen the core, tone the hips and thighs, and flatten the abs. After mastering the basic repertoire in beginner mat classes, you can challenge yourself with the quicker-paced intermediate or advanced options.
Change. Your. Body.— This low-impact 50-minute class will get your muscles shaking…literally! B.L.A.S.T. is a total-body group reformer workout that will meld together cardio, weight training, and traditional pilates. Our amped up reformers are enhanced for this class. High-energy music and smooth transitions between exercises keep your heart rate elevated and your body burning mega calories! By integrating resistance and counter-resistance, this workout strengthens the body, jumpstarts the metabolism, burns fat, defines muscle, and increases flexibility.
Aquacise uses the buoyant qualities of water to enhance physical fitness through exercises. It is a medium-impact water class designed to provide cardiovascular conditioning, improved muscle tone, and improved balance. It is a total body workout without the stress of land-based exercise.
