Hermitage Golf Club
The Hermitage Golf Club prides itself on our classic and well manicured par 72 layout. Acclaimed architect Desmond Muirhead designed the facility in 1972, giving golfers a dramatic experience of natural rolling terrain where expansive views of the Green Mountains are revealed on nearly every hole. The course is completely natural and is routed through many indigenous areas spanning the property.
Apart from the breathtaking scenery lies target landing areas, strategic bunkering and small undulating greens that characterize the challenges of this hidden gem. New England weather conditions are always present, and the varying elements of the course create a new experience every time you play.
Hours Daily 7am to 6pm with tee times from 7:30am. Weekends and holidays are reserved for Hermitage Club members.
Cost Complimentary for Hermitage Club members. Non-member rates start at $35 — see our rate sheet for full details.

Drew Anderson, PGA
Head Golf Professional
Drew joins us for his second season as the Head Golf Professional. Drew grew up in North Kingstown, RI and has worked at such private facilities as the Hartford Golf Club, Sankaty Head Golf Club, The Misquamicut Club, Jupiter Island Club and Point Judith Country Club. He is a passionate professional that is highly motivated in all aspects of the golf operation and will look to actively promote the game of golf at The Hermitage Club. Drew and his wife Stephanie along with their daughter Catherine have settled in nicely to West Dover and look forward to enjoying another summer season of golf and local Vermont activities that the greater Deerfield Valley has to offer.
David Jankowski, PGA
Assistant Golf Professional
Dave joins us this season from the Stowe Mountain Club where he has spent the last 3 seasons as the First Assistant Golf Professional. Dave grew up in Long Island, NY and has worked at such facilities as the Concession Golf Club, FL and Jay Peak Golf Course, VT. Dave is an accomplished golfer with multiple tournament victories within the NEPGA and was recently a qualifier for the 2016 PGA Professional National Championship, which is the highest level of competitive golf a club professional can compete. He has also won the 2014 VTPGA Player of the Year and VTPGA Match Play Championship in 2015. Dave looks forward to coordinating and enhancing a lot of the player development programming as well as providing private instruction to the entire Hermitage Club membership. Dave brings with him a wealth of instructional knowledge and believes that game improvement is based on a long term plan that focuses on short term goal setting and concentrated practice sessions to best elevate the students true potential.
Mark Aebli, PGA
Assistant Golf Professional
Mark returns to us for his seventh season at The Hermitage Golf Club. He grew up in Central Texas and started playing the game of golf at the age of 13 under the supervision of legendary instructor Harvey Penick at Austin Country Club. Mark is a graduate of UT Austin with a degree in American History. Mark’s playing career has spanned the globe including victories at The Philippine Open, Hong Kong Open, Republic of China Open and Chile Open. These tournament victories are impressive given the fact that the names of Greg Norman, Seve Ballesteros, Carlos Franco and Angel Cabrera were all in the final pairings on Sunday with him. Mark’s true passion since coming on property has been his ability to properly communicate with his students to have them achieve their personal golf goals. Mark has been recognized by Golf Digest as Vermont’s best teacher
in 2004 and 2011.

TrackMan is a small piece of equipment that can help create huge improvements for players. The latest evolution of the product, TrackMan 4, features a dual-radar technology representing a significant milestone in the evolution of golf instruction, coaching, fitting and entertainment.
One radar system tracks everything the club does before, during and after impact, such as club path, face angle, swing direction and spin loft. The second system tracks the full flight of the ball, illustrating launch angle, spin rate and curvature.
“We are very fortunate to have a device like this on property and be able to impart to our students the data that TrackMan provides,” Drew Anderson, Head Golf Professional said. “TrackMan is currently being used by some of the top professionals in our sport, including Jason Day, Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy. What better way to lower your scores than have the same access to what the best players in the world are currently using?”
