When we ask kids what their favorite Hermitage Club summer activity is the most common answer we get is: hiking. Adults love it too. The Crosstown Trail (see video below) and Valley Trail highlight a local network of walking routes. Options range from paved paths, to gravel trails to single track footpaths through the woods. Pick up a map at the Hermitage Inn front desk or download it online.
Another option is hiking up the Haystack Mountain ski slopes. There’s raspberry and blackberry picking along the way. Some hikers have seen bald eagles here too. That requires some luck. Getting a splendid view from the top does not.
